Tom Andries was invited by Shapeshifters to give a lecture on February 17th 2009.

Shapeshifters was founded by teachers from the Transmedia and Graphic design department at the Hogeschool Sint-Lukas in Brussels. The initiative is meant to be an interactive research platform and open forum which should stimulate creative thinking and debate on the future of graphic design and of visual culture in general.

A yearly series of lectures organised in collaboration with the Beursschouwburg is devoted to a different theme with every new season. The most diverse aspects of visual design are taken into consideration, going from graphic design, illustration and typography, to music and new media – attracting a broad public of professionals and design enthusiasts, from all kinds of disciplines.

Since November, the Today designteam has a new member, Mathias De Keer. Mathias studied Graphical Design at Sint-Lucas in Ghent, where he obtained his Bachelorship in graphic design.

Our website is transformed from a ‘pure’ Flash website to a CMS databasedriven HTML-version; so now it is compatible with all browsers (no need for a flash plugin), and is from now on fully compatible with iPhone and Blackberry devices!
